Re: Optimizing Danmar M6 2 Post Lift

Seems like you spend a lot of time adjusting the lift arms. Tip from a mechanic. Use the rings on the base of the lift and pull up on them . This allows you to move the arm, without putting it back down to adjust. Cuts your adjustment time in half. I cannot just place the hockey pad on the lift and...

Re: Widowmaker Project (Building a Faux GT2)

First up was to get it all set to go together and installed to the motor. https://i.imgur.com/Hvsmomr.jpg https://i.imgur.com/lpQQ0xO.jpg Next up was the tight fitment of the pan which took a couple tries to make...

Re: Widowmaker Project (Building a Faux GT2)

Like all good things, it takes time to get the right parts...some times even more time to get the other parts to use the right parts! In this case it was the long wait on the oil pan ordered up in December for the Corrado, of course while ordering one pan, I figured it would be a good time to pick o...

Re: Search is Over, Picked up a 911TT

Put it in the shop today to get an alignment, the tires mounted/balanced and the oil level sensor investigated. They called to let me know the rims are not turbo twists but factory C4S rims. They look great but they left the spacers on there to address the stance it has. So I need some help finding...

Re: Widowmaker Project (Building a Faux GT2)

Here is a much nicer example of one. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1992-volkswagen-corrado-vr6-3/ https://cdn.bringatrailer.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/1992_volkswagen_corrado_vr6_1542768346495d565ef66eIMG_9212.jpg Being that it has leather, paint looks in much better shape as well as the eng...

Re: Widowmaker Project (Building a Faux GT2)

Yeah I have been watching that one. I figure it is a 3200-3600 car with the hatch rust, the crappy matched paint job on the drivers fender. The dented hood is a killer as hoods are $$$$ these days. Being a 1992 they have the early dash which is not desirable like the 93+ interiors. The market has be...
