Re: Ebike Conversion - My K2 Attack 2.0 w/ 48v 1000 watt front hub motor and 4x sealed lead-acid batteries

Update: The seatpost mount I used suffered catastrophic failure - looks like fatigue from the vibration - and the damn battery fell off. The beam failed just past the weld - I was not anticipating this mode of failure. 58375657_10216898716032957_5362102811758690304_n.jpg This mount is much more damp...

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

She once played a "gladibot" - a combat android that busted out kung fu, karate, and kali at inopportune times like a high-tech Kato lying in wait for a hapless future Clouseau. In addition to looking like she could kick KCA's ass - and she could, no doubt...something for which I was thankful given ...

Re: Lid Block on 996 2001 C4

Check the mount points for the hardware, including the cabling. On several occasions, various parts of that assembly popped/worked loose and needed to be cleaned and reassembled.

Don't force anything - those parts are thin.

Tesla battery issue - smoke, then flash fire

This is disturbing. Watch the charger on the wall (far right) - at the same time the first outgassing happens on the Tesla @ approx. 0:50, the charger on the wall appears to swell. I thought this was a reflection from the car that passes later in the video at first, but the timing is beyond coincide...

Re: Anyone know much about 3d printers?

Re: @#$& horn!

That's why I was suggesting getting into the rear trunk - attach a second battery to the big-ass + post in the rear trunk, and at least maybe get enough current to get the alarm to shut off.

Re: Anyone know much about 3d printers?

Since I rejiggered the overhead filament stand, the Makerbot has been reliable - but the issue with large-footprint objects warping up off the glass may be insurmountable without upgrading to a heated build plate, and I'm not sure I want to sink even more money into an obsolete printer.
