Many years ago, my pop was doing some consulting for a military contractor that made M2 vehicle mounts. Interestingly enough, nobody tailgates or cuts off a pickup with an M2 mounted in the bed.

If you apply it like that, you can then take a razor blade and scrape off and re-position each character. Takes a while, but it's worth it.
