Re: Oil Analysis and other paranoid behaviours

It does seem, though, the other 996 forum’s usual frenetic behavior concerning all things oil has abated since the last few posts from people who know the Shiite about oil (Charles, Lake, JR, et al). Just waiting with a giant bag of popcorn for the next lunar(tic) cycle to come around. Balls o’ iron...

Re: April/May Giveaway - SWEET Chemical Guys Bundle (Foam gun, clay bar, and more)!

If I win you’ll get to see my kids chase each other with the foam ‘cannon’; throw recently clean and spotless, but nice and dirty and wet microfiber cloths at each other. You’ll also witness my futile attempts to convince my wife she really does need to be skimpily clad while she lubes and clays the...

Re: Fun with Durametric

I check real-time numbers for oil and water temps. I used it to lower my Cayenne. Every oil change I do a check for fuel trims and cam deviation. Lots of stuff to keep the mind busy and worries under control.

Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?

Had to replace the #2 post-cat O2 sensor. Durametric showed it dead. Surprisingly easy on this one. Only had to remove airbox and work around the engine brace with a crow’s foot. Will put the other new ones in tomorrow, when I put the car up, so they all have same T=0.

Dr Strangelove,
All the best to you and yours! Don’t forget to buy the carbon fiber, full-face Porsche 919 special infant edition helmet! It’s on sale in Tequipment catalog for $17,919.96. That and the genuine Porsche car seat system will only set you back a Freshman year of college!

Re: Porsche Classic Motor Oils?

I wanted to find the logic behind the ‘new’ ‘Classic’ line of oil, cuz Porsche has smart marketing people, right? So I burned quite a few brain cells doing some fuzzy math and calculus on an envelope. I used the Product Rule (real) to solve (imaginary) using a new form of math no one will ever use c...

I think it roughly means “careful what you say, the enemy is listening”.
