Rear spoiler mod

Hello 996ers, I have replaced my rear decklid with a fixed ducktail, and I cannot figure out how to safely and reversibly turn off the dash warning light. I was able to find info on how to do it on a 993, but I am not sure that will work on the 996. It involved jumping wires in the engine bay loom t...

I only worry if my 911 isn't leaking any oil, because that means there's none left!

Hollow Spoke 996 wheels

Just thought I'd share this with y'all. If you have an early car, check your codes, see if you got'em.

Re: Hood latch issue

FIXED! I took apart the hood latch to replace the micro switch. The white crescent rotates and turns off the light. All parts seem there, but the crescent was just a little stuck. So I lubed it up with silicone spray, and it worked fine. I put everything back and the frunk light works great. Lube is...

Re: Hood latch issue

No cluster lights
Can't identify related fuse to it on the map
Frunk opens without issues.

And power is going to the bulb per multimeter.

Hood latch issue

Hello fellow 996ers,

My fronk light stopped working, and my indy said its a failure of the micro switch in the latch mechanism. Any advice on how to fix it? Is the boxer assembly the same? lots of those on ebay, but no 996 ones. Factory price is outrageous. Muchas gracias,

:D

996 Values going up, up, up

I have been following Bring a Trailer for the past few years, and the 996, especially the Aerokit cars, are really going up in value. So glad to see I finally made a good investment. lol

Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?

Today, nothing. But yesterday I took my 996 to Willow Springs Raceway and did a few hot laps to see how she would do. This was an open track day, so no "racing". It was just so fun to open her up and let her do what she does best. Cornering, braking, accelerating, downshifting, all without...
