Yup, that seems likely. Around here, “the shit” gets shot on a regular basis. In fact, I would guess that “the shit” and “the breeze” get shot most often, with “the bull” running a close third.

Sounds like you're conducting retired guy psyops on the seller :D. In fairness, he did lower the price a bunch and is willing to sell at a competitive price. Poor bastard is way upside down, probably works 90 hours a week, and now he has to deal with this guy who has nothing but time to F with him....

New Hoops

Finishing up building a couple new sets of Clydesdale-worthy wheels for the two-wheeled hooptie. In a moment of weakness, I agreed to accompany Mrs. KoB on some easy-ish rail trail/bike path kinda rides. So far I’ve discovered that the engine produces nowhere near enough horsepower or torque, tires ...

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

Was at a little car show last night and there happened to be a couple nice E-Type Coupes....so much want Back in the day (80’s) one of my college friends restored an E-Type Roadster ... pale yellow with a black top. That car was absolutely stunning. I lost touch with him; I hope he still has it. I ...

I kinda hope Alonso wins. I’d like to see him take a few more shots at winning the Indy 500, which will probably be more likely if he’s going for the Triple Crown.

Re: Luxury Vehicle Purchase Timing - What's Best?

Good post, KC, and great questions ... for which I don’t think I’ve got answers. I haven’t bought anything as far up the food chain as the A8L ... Mrs. KoB and I have generally stuck with Acuras and Infinitis, which I think of as “sort of” luxury brands. Both brands seem to have depreciation curves ...

Re: Radar Detector Models and Reviews

I have a Beltronics STiR Plus that I never got around to installing. I may revisit that over the summer, assuming that everything else settles down and more car-futzing time becomes available I also have an older Bel RX-65 that I bought used for not much money — sub-$50, IIRC. Works pretty well and ...

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

1) I am far too old and lame to swing an ax that hard. 2) If I DID swing an ax as sharp as those anywhere near that hard, I would kill myself and everyone else within a 300 ft. radius. Somehow YouTube recommended this to me. So...Ok, both cuts are GOOT! I knew a couple guys in college who were comp...

Re: Removing gauge pod to install new warning light bulbs

Wow! Nicely done and documented. Thanx. Agreed. By far the best DIY I’ve seen on this. I’m fighting a non-illuminated odometer that doesn’t seem to be a dead bulb, so my gauge pod has been in and out a couple times. I’m probably going to have to send it out for repair over the winter unless I spot ...
