Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

I was planning to go visit Mom down in St. Pete, FL this weekend... looks like that's on hold for now. Mom reports that nothing of note happened in her area. Electricity was not out. The only damage of note was a tree branch that fell on her lawn. The folks down a little South of St. Pete took a be...

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

Now I have been offered a first-gen 2006 Cayenne Turbo S that appears to be in good shape, except the engine... which has either a burned valve or more likely terminal bore scoring. I can get a used engine in good shape and install that. Total outlay would be on the order of $10k. I know some of you...

It's rather more easy to transition into oversteer than you might think. Just stab the gas quickly. After all it's a 911 and they are supposed to be easy to spin, right?

Re: Somebody talk me down off the edge...

In all seriousness if the 996 isn't doing it for you any more you should sell it. You are in a difficult situation with your wife not wanting to ride in the car, so you can't even take a trip in it. That does not help. You could schedule a 996 week where you drive the 996 on all your errands etc. in...

Re: Intermittent Misfire

You may have a bad lifter on that cylinder, they get stuck at high lift which causes misfires.
