Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

In 22 years, I have never gotten a ticket of any sort in the 996. I have had tickets in all 9 of the other vehicles I have owned or had regular use of. Last one I had was in the P!g (fucker was actually chasing someone else but decided to give up and take me instead :x). For being a dick on the road...

Re: Jaguar XJ (X351) - Damn Fine Car

My 98 XK8 was a nightmare of electrical issues and I took a bath on it's 3 years of ownership (70k new, 13k in wheels and big brakes, sold for 20k), but that era Jag looked soooooooo much better than anything they've produced since Ford sold them. That car is still my litmus for what "luxury&qu...

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

I know I'm gonna jinx myself, but 7 1/2 years and 22,000 miles, the biggest repair has been replacing the wastegate actuators at a cost of about $400, and replacing one of the front calipers with a used one because I buggered up a bleed valve. The low maintenance on her 996 for it's first 12 years ...

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

Now I am thinking about some cheap tires for the back. As the P!g is an AWD, you should be replacing all 4 at the same time to maintain consistency. Mismatched tires can cause damage to the transfer case. Mostly that is a concern with diameter differences due to wear, but tread patterns can be prob...

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

The fact that you've been married nearly 30 years and Mrs. S. and I are about to hit 28 suggests to me that women are DAMN patient. I just booked a trip to Vegas today for my wife and me from August 6th to 9th. It's our 30th wedding anniversary, but I'm sure my wife would be totally fine with me ha...

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

Which Kumho's ? Remember with Michelin's they cut the warranty in half with staggered setup. It looks like you may have taken that into account The 996 eats rear tires Ecsta. The guy at my local indy said the same, because the rear is so heavy. Let's see how long the Mich's last. Weight? The...
