Funny - we have a bottle of each (Kirkland brand) sitting on the counter now. I think my daughter was behind the Avocado oil...

Re: Seat Covers

Those look great - I was just looking at their web site for a friend with a 968 that the leather was completely shot. She ended up having a local upholstery shop piece in sections, but the same said they had no problem installing the Lseat covers. Price they quoted was about the same as you paid. No...

Sounds great! Let us know if you have questions. Are going to be using the factory amp in the frunk? What about the door speakers? Thanks - not sure how your reply got dropped off my previous post. Will shout if I get in in a bind! Daryll OK, did the stereo install today. The hardest part for me wa...

Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?

Did an easy and fun car improvement tonight - installed the non-smokers cubby in place of my ash tray. Now I actually have a useful place to put my car keys. Looking at the picture reminds me that I need to replace the parking brake handle too. Odd how the leather on it is destroyed - previous owner...

Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?

Project update - got the rear speakers installed over the weekend. Knowing what to do helped - other than waiting for the glue to dry the whole job was probably only an hour or so. One very important step was to wear rubber gloves when working with the glue... Finally I can listen to the radio! Als...

Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?

I've done this job twice. The speakers in my current 996 were junk! Crutchfield is the best. They even have 2 ohm speakers manufactured by PowerBass. Finally a perfect factory replacement for the 2 ohm HAES door speakers. All four of my speakers are completely shot. The foam was just gone. I was su...

Re: New Member Intros

Awesome and welcome. I’m also a newbie here, and from Ohio too, but I’m down in Columbus. Also have a cabrio with sport classic II wheels! Daryll Nice ride! I almost went black but found this silver one down in Arkansas. I’ve spent a fair amount of time in the Columbus area, that arena district had...

Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?

Replaced my front speakers. That sounds really easy, but it turned out to be a royal pain in the ass job. Just removing the speakers was interesting - my assumption is that they are installed at the factory before the windshield, so the back screw is almost impossible to reach. Ended up using a tor...
