Re: Tesla battery issue - smoke, then flash fire

That looks to me like the Tesla owner videoing the CCTV console, probably trying to figure out WTF happened to his sweet new Tesla. As far as the charger - I think the reflection may be the other car, but I think it's exacerbated by the enclosure swelling or warping due to heat. Hard to tell - the ...

Re: Tesla battery issue - smoke, then flash fire

This is disturbing. Watch the charger on the wall (far right) - at the same time the first outgassing happens on the Tesla @ approx. 0:50, the charger on the wall appears to swell. I thought this was a reflection from the car that passes later in the video at first, but the timing is beyond coincid...

This giveaway looks awesome. Definitely could use this based on the way my car normally looks (older picture, but will be driving home from the airport tonight in the rain and it will probably be a mess when I get home).

Re: 996 on Wheeler Dealers!

According to Direct TV this episode is airing Wednesday. Looking forward to seeing how they do. Just watched an episode with the new guy that replaced Edd and it was actually decent (they pretty much restored a Jeep Grand Wagoneer and it turned out good).

Re: Cabrio Water Drains

When I removed the speaker, I discovered that both of the “pans” were packed full of mud - probably had never been cleaned, or at least not for a very long time. Had to break up the mess with a screwdriver and suck it out with the shop vac. But when done I poured a cup of water into the pan and it e...

Re: Cabrio Water Drains

Got the drains cleaned out, but after some more research on the RL it looks like I may have a disconnected drain tube. But it is not clear what that particular tube actually does. This is an amazingly complex system for what it does but when clean it does appear to work OK. At least I’m not driving ...

Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?

Nice but chilly day in Ohio - but went ahead and removed the hard top in aticipation of warmer days ahead. Took it for a drive for fun. Daughter wanted to go, but is always cold, so she wore her Arctic parka. in any case we had fun.
