Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?

Group buy was for the shifter, and they also gave me 10% off of the cables. The knob is a function first classic knob. I'm not sure I would recommend it. The anodizing on the knob is sub par. It looks like it wasn't properly cleaned before being anodized, so you can see the stains from where machine...

Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?

Jumped on the group buy on Rennlist and installed over the long weekend. Loving it so far! While under the car, discovered the coolant tank has begun to leak on the headers I just installed. Also have a driver side door latch waiting to be installed. It never ends... https://i.imgur.com/6KiwzU...

Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?

I had a CEL that came and went indicating a vaccuum leak, and a smoke test revealed that little elbow below was leaking. Had to wait for shipping from Stugart. Also had a cracked header that came with the car and was leaking. Runs much quieter/smoother with the new BBE headers! https://i.imgur.com/f...

Re: Save $$$...build your own IMSB

I think this process should be memorialized with its own product name. How about "Da Solution"?

Questionable Rotor Wear

Photo below is the rear driver side rotor. All rotors have the same "wavey" pattern. The grooves are "in line" with the hole; it's as if dust/FOD got trapped between the pad and rotor through the hole and it's left a groove in the rotor. This is my first car equipped with cross d...
