Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

Took out a few Mina birds with my 22 Benjamin pump! Dear lord I hate myna birds with a passion. My dad's house on oahu has several coconut trees and there must be a million of them up there making a hell of a racket. Would try to shoot the bastards if it wasn't too windy with my dad's pellet gun. A...

Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?

I typically clean to see if there is improvement before replacing.

If you're in the market for a replacement battery pack, I would recommend the 1000amp Noco. https://amzn.to/2V8fOVS

I thought the "shooting gloves" would be a dead give away.

Used to do the same thing in my dad's backyard with an air rifle. Nailed paper plates to a tree. :)

I didn't notice that until Bill said something. Very weird.

Re: What's in your toolbag?

My goal at Button Willow is wake up early, drive three hours there, have some fun, learn some stuff, and drive back home. This will be my very first step into getting on a track. Exactly what I did. The tools I had with me comprised the entirety of what comes in the factory tool bag. I was carrying...

Re: What's in your toolbag?

I think it depends on how involved you are. For most of us (especially those relatively close to their home/shop) the "call it a day and tow it home" approach is probably pretty reasonable, if a little annoying. For more serious people (like DT and Cuda) or where you are too far for a tow to be rea...

Re: What's in your toolbag?

Amex and AAA card. I'd rather work on my heap back at the shop. ! I think I'm on the same wave length as you. I'm not bringing spare parts with me, so I don't see a huge advantage to bring anything more than (tool wise): Spare oil, spare coolant, torque wrench, 19mm socket, milwaukee cordless...

Re: Racetrack Stuff

Guy is an ass. I only have disdain for people who think they push their cars but have never done any closed course driving. Autocross is way more aggressive than any street driving and track driving is I think another step. But car clubs have different roles for different people. The DE chair shoul...
