Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

Been a good week for me. Got my durametric pro at a 20% discount for ordering two (Found someone on rennlist who paypaled me his half), ordered a 997 airbox for a great price, and made the last payment on my snap on tool box.

Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?

Used some mobil1 spindle oil that he kept f...

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

Lived in Hawaii for 18 years. We don't have emmissions testing, but we have something worse called safety inspections. Basically any modification to your vehicle required a reconstruction inspection. (Including changing your wheels) Most of these laws/regulations were written 50 years ago. In the re...

Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?

Replaced my 2.5 year old wiper blades with the new Bosch Icon X's. I went with 22A and 21B; perfect fit. They look cheap though...I prefer the Denso Low Profile wiper blades I just put on my GF's lexus. Same here, they work. They work, but the previous set fit better. The passenger side needs to be...

Might want to think about getting an under dash creeper for future work.

Re: Optimizing Danmar M6 2 Post Lift

Seems like you spend a lot of time adjusting the lift arms. Tip from a mechanic. Use the rings on the base of the lift and pull up on them . This allows you to move the arm, without putting it back down to adjust. Cuts your adjustment time in half. I cannot just place the hockey pad on the lift and...

Re: Optimizing Danmar M6 2 Post Lift

Sadly so many (especially in the car industry) don't think this way which is how we end up with absolutely brain dead designs that then make usability and servicing a nightmare. Good on you! Such an elegantly simple solution to an annoying problem. I wondered what the sculpting on the sides was abo...
