Re: Steering Wheel Horn Frame Replacement

Thanks for posting - I need to do this as well, but will admit that anything involving the airbag scares the hell out of me. So i may still pay my indy to do this. Mine is now to the point that it will honk on a speed bump but also if I bump the wheel slightly in just the right (wrong?) way. Daryll

Re: Guards Red didn't save this buyer on the way in his 996

Wow. That really sucks. The buyer paid all the money and then added $10k. I followed that auction and it looked like a nice car. And Mr Deezy seemed like an OK guy too. Now the car blew up and Mr Deezy turns out to be an asshole. Interesting. Not In a good way. That car would probably be amazing wit...

Re: 1987 Bertone (aka Fiat) X1/9

Well, I picked it up today. Overall, I'm very pleased. The total cost for the color chage was $4,000. That's a bargain by any measure (the other quote I got was for $7,500). But, there is quite a bit of overspray that I need to clean up. It's not solid overspray - just little droplets on things lik...

Re: The new car isn't perfect...or at least the seller isn't.

Watched this auction - glad the car is nice. It looked good to me through the computer! If the stereo has CarPlay (and you have an iPhone) you may find you like the interface. I swapped my cassette player for a double din CarPlay unit and have been very pleased. Easy to use! Enjoy the new car!! Daryll

My friend drove his more perfect than new turbo to the gym this morning, so our cars were able to socialize.

Re: Search For a 914

I saw that 914 on BAT today too. Did not watch the video - but could not believe the price. Especially since a beautiful 2000 996 cabrio Guards Red over Natural leather and 37,000 miles sold for under $30k. It was right around the corner from me but I have never seen it. I like 914’s but that was ju...

Re: The Hunt

On the flip side, my wife really wants our next Porsche experience to be one that she can also enjoy... that means (sniffle) ... automatic. :D It is technically possible to train your wife to drive a stick. My will (very occasionally) drive the Porsche. She likes it when the top is down. More import...

Ohio Front License Plates

Exciting stuff happening in Ohio this week. Cow tipping!! Just kidding, better - We now can legally drive without the front license plate. Finally. Law was past in 2019 but the police have been trying since then to get it repealed. Did not take effect until this month. But good for me as three out o...

Re: The Hunt

Looks like a nice car. Hope it works out. Don’t ship it - easy drive from Virginia to California. You can stop in Columbus Ohio and I will buy you a beer or cocktail and your car can meet my ‘99.
Then stay on the same road and visit Mr. Frunk in KC. (I-70)
