Re: Lip stick on a pig?
looks like a fun toy.. although $40k is a pipe dream. a different accent color than white would go a long way. Bro, I've invested over 6 figures. Buyer's gain, my loss. /s One thing I’ve learned is hobby cars and “investments” don’t mix. It’s like gambling to get rich. You hear stories, but it’s re...

Re: Corvette headlight rebuild...
This topic made me laugh but now I’m also worried about the headlights on my 91 ZR-1 and my IMS bearing in my 996..... I will have to drive my Miata more. Miata! Don't read DT's racing post. You will be taking the bus. I’m going to have to get rid of my ZR-1 and 996 and get a new ND Miata.....

Re: So what's the point of yet another 996 site?
I do enjoy a good side show now and again. Removing humor from the car hobby ruins it for me.

Re: Racetrack Stuff
Looks like a blast. I’m total hack so it’s impossible for me to advise. I will say as smooth as you are you probably won’t get much faster. The only corners that may have been problematic were the 3 slowest. Getting out of them quick in a momentum car is hard. In pure conjecture I think you may be ...

Re: Racetrack Stuff
Going back and forth between giving gnat the standard student ride along vs the one where he's convinced he's gonna die for 98% of the time. Maybe I'll post a poll and let the forum decide. Always the near death ride. I will never forget my first one..... thanks dad. Dad was once upon a time a TX S...

Re: Racetrack Stuff
Ok, a couple videos, first one of a full lap. Tell me what you think I can improve. Looking for feedback. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=czKxDA3RL-Q This one is just fun. The Ferrari is probably a $350,000+ car? Sharing the uphill esses with a $5,000 car. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJu1DTDW5V...

Re: Racetrack Stuff
Some dingus on a Miata forum just literally said a race school doesn't teach you about how your drive a car on a racetrack and now I'm googling how to delete someone else's internet posts so I don't get banned from there for threats of violence. If you went 996 great day thread mode on the pointy h...

Re: Racetrack Stuff
That's pretty sweet. Going Miata for a track car was the best track related financial decision I ever made. I can't imagine how deep I'd be if I was running something expensive at the track. In calendar year 2017 my tire expenses were $0.00. Bought a new set in late 2016 and finally destroyed those...

If you physically replace them yourself, it’s definitely yours. Now if you pay someone else to do it, is it theirs?OceanBlue2000 wrote: ↑Mon May 14, 2018 6:13 pm If you replace every part of your car, is it still your car? Or is it my car, because when you weren’t looking I wrote my name on all the parts?
