Re: Buying in an auction.

I think it is 2 minutes added on BaT after bids, so sniping (as in “snipe”) isn’t very effective on BaT. That being said, adding an hour is another story - it gives additional bidders time to come into the auction that may have missed out otherwise. However, I don’t believe this is something BaT wou...

Yeah, optical illusion on the wide-angle shooting mode. It has about 6 inches on the driver's side and about a foot on the passenger's side clearance between the garage door opening and the post in the middle of the garage door. A 3rd lift would make it really tight for a Durango.

Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?

Brought the 928 home from The Underground and plan to drive it to a couple of events this Saturday. So, the 996tt went up on the rack tonight. Tucked 4 of the hooptie fleet into bed for the night. 20200820_231351.jpg If you had room for one more four post lift your garage would look like the inside...

Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?

My new to me roll bar cover arrived today. After about 15 minutes of work I know longer have pieces that will fly off when the top is down. Roger - Will you be in St. Louis or NC in October? Reason I ask is that the Kansas City Region PCA has an event that is sponsored by 996outpost.com on October ...

I’m not in the market anymore, but the description of the wheels on this one has peaked my interest . . .

Re: New member 00 Aerokit Slicktop

Nicely optioned car - someone knew what they were doing when they spec'd it. Hmm, 81k on the current IMS bearing. If it was gonna let go, it probably would've done so by now. '00 model year, so there's a good likelihood it's a dual row. I'd probably wait to do the IMS bearing on the next clutch chan...

FRUNKenstein's 1987 928S4

OK, figured I'd start a maintenance log on this car, too. Purchased on September 5, 2014 out of Terre Haute, IN. Drove it home from there. November 2014 - Timing Belt/Water Pump. Mileage approximately 82,000 (I don't have the records with me at the moment) Also replaced the tires and did other work ...
