Re: Who Knew?

What's with the secondary bearing section? I can't imagine it would do any good if it's not fitted to the intermediate shaft.

Am I missing something here?

Re: My 2002 996 "renovation" thread

I see some 2 ohm 5.25 inch motorcycle speakers online. Do you think would they work with the factory system? My original speakers are still good but I'm guessing that eventually they'll need to be replaced. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Kicker-Motorcycle-5-25-Inch-Speaker-package-2-ohm-version/153077784...

Had to formally evict Mickey Mouse this week with a trap, reminded me of this ol' saying...

"The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse always gets the cheese!"

Beautiful car! I especially like the tans leather interior over the more common black or graphite grey. Seems like a lot of work was done on the car.

The only thing I would change would be the wheels. I prefer the stock turbros! ha!

Re: Introducting, Heidi and Franny's Garage

On a different note, does anyone have a good recommendation for a vacuum cleaner? One that has a good warranty. :D

Re:The verdict is in...

My outpost... finally after weeks of scratching' my head on this one, the verdict is in... The Becker CDR-220 is innocent! Connected the CDR-220 with a wire harness to a 200W Blaupunkt amp and the sound is clean across all 6 speakers even in the bass range. It's easier to push the full range of thes...

Re: My 2002 996 "renovation" thread

Have you tried turning up the bass (beyond +4) and then slowly turning up the volume level past 25 with bass driving music? I couldn't get mine past 25 without popping in the bass range. :( I didn't know the bass went below 4 nor the volume below 25...so yes, yes and yes. bwahahahaah! Did yo...

Re: My 2002 996 "renovation" thread

Update... In order to fully rule out the CDR-220 as the culprit to the low frequency clipping, I decided to test the amp in isolation. I wasn't totally positive it still wasn't the amp. Most of the bass popping sound was lower frequencies coming from the door speakers. I don't have a schematic for t...
