Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com
Ok, Frunk,
My wild-ass-guess is Jim Downing. Drove back in Camel GT days, nice guy, won Le Mans and hails from GA. But he’s older than Derrick Bell, so he’d be pushing 80. And he drove Mazdas. So maybe not. Unless he likes little hot rod chick magnet-mobiles.

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com
Now I have been offered a first-gen 2006 Cayenne Turbo S that appears to be in good shape, except the engine... which has either a burned valve or more likely terminal bore scoring. I can get a used engine in good shape and install that. Total outlay would be on the order of $10k. I know some of yo...

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com
(Full disclosure: I've been watching for an unmolested 850 Turbo for a while...) I saw a yellow 850R last week in Redondo. I miss my old black one sometimes. There should be several decent ones (R flave) left in SD and OC areas. I recall, bitd, there were quite a few sold there. I loved the Pegasus...

Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?
I took the car out out for a 30 minute drive, all nice and clean and revvy. Rung the beast out on some back roads to assess what else I could do to tweak the suspension. I could do a few things to help with power-on push, but that’s just a niggle. Got back to the house, paused for a moment to look a...

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com
I got my new ignition switch in and I'm basically the maximum size a person can be to do this job lying in the foot well. Do you guys take the side vent off and come in from the side normally or just contort and reach up? I took the side cover and vent off and was not bad after that getting to the ...

Re: Jack placement rear pad C4S
What about those hockey pucks that have the metal piece that anchors in the jack pad point? Would that help find center?
