Nice writeup. However, why not replace the plunger and brushes? Do they sell them separately? The plunger is not a consumable like brushes are. Your efforts, even with all the angst, have saved the rest of us a lot of time and wasted money. My 997 airbox came with a Bosch MAF sensor. It came off of a running vehicle. Do you want the sensor?
