Re: Bore Scoring! Who knows for whom the bell tolls...

A lot of people have been sending messages to Flat 6 Innovations about when the bore scoping video will be released. Rest assured, it's been recorded and currently in post production. The plan is to make it live on YouTube next week as Part 4 of the series. As we used to say... STAY TUNED!!!! :D Aw...

Re: Widowmaker Project (Building a Faux GT2)

Some more progress on the Corrado, was able to button up the oil cooler the other night. After locating the vent trim for the dash it looked all brown and aged. So with some glass media sand blasting then some SEM trim paint it was as good as new. https://i.imgur.com/q0RaiZF.jpg https://i.imgur.com/...

Re: Widowmaker Project (Building a Faux GT2)

The 8380 site is pure pornography. Thanks for sharing! I'm surprised...no concentric twisted loom wrapped in raychem?! :P The artwork leads to a hole in the wallet with all the frames you are going to need to buy! No wrapping the fuse box wiring, due to how tight it is jammed in there and still cha...

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

One of the few nice things about Mass...if your car survived the salt and roads for 15 years it is exempt from emissions. They do not give much faith that cars survive to that point, which in many cases they do not. However they still have safety inspections, which is always funny because the place ...

Re: Widowmaker Project (Building a Faux GT2)

Love this thread! Everything from the garage build to the cars - it's all awesome. That oil pan is a work of art. I also really like your porsche posters. Mind sharing where you got them? Thanks! If you asked me ten years ago, I would have said a dream space like this was unattainable for an averag...

Re: Widowmaker Project (Building a Faux GT2)

Where does the time go I always wonder, with a break from plowing and shoveling snow with having some nice weather this weekend, it was time to focus back in the garage on some projects. Being that Corrado's are scarce birds these days, I was asked if mine would be done for New England Dustoff...whi...

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

1st pic okay. Second pic...isn't that spring upside down on the strut? Just wondering... The H&R springs for the Saabs are a little funky, they can only go on 1 way...the mounts normally drop out the little plastic ball bearings and then the spring starts to twist and then fails. Bearing was fi...

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

Step 1 always involves pushing the torches over to the work area....normally seems to gain compliance from then on out. Was taught that trick by my buddy that always found the rustiest British cars possible. He simply stated to start "To be successful working on cars in the New England you push...
