Re: can catalytic converter issue cause an air injection code

I would think it would be the opposite - an issue with the 2AI system is resulting in the issue with the oxygen sensor/catalytic converter. I haven't had the issue with my 996, but oddly enough, my Corvette does suffer from an issue with the air injection valve becoming stuck every couple of years....

Re: Shit, I think my car was totalled today

Oh boy. I'm really sorry to see this, Cuda. It sucks. It's crazy how expensive repairs end up being on these cars. The initial estimate for damage repair on on my red car was around 19k. When all was said and done, it was... 30k! I think you should go ahead and get a turbro now. They're durable, de...

Re: Turn signals not resetting

I'd look at the cancelling lever that's inside of the stalk center that rides the column......Maybe the arm inside of the stalk broke off. Generally speaking the cancelling lever wont extend until the turn signal is flipped left or right, and there is a small tooth that flips it in to push the turn ...

Re: HOOVIE is at is again.... More on the LS Swap

LS Engines are notorious for oil starvation under high G cornering, the only two ways around it are to install a baffled oil pan or overfill the crank case by 1 and 1/2 to 2 quarts of oil. You'd think that GM would've thought that not every person who buys an F-Boat wants to go drag racing......som...

Yea, you'll get no argument from me on that......

Re: Civic Type R

I don't miss owning a 300HP front-wheel-drive car. If they've tamed the wrist-snapping torque steer, it probably means they've also tamed the fun. If I was a Honda fan, I'd probably be all over that. The S2000 remains the only Honda I've ever considered buying... Have you ever driven an NSX or an I...

Re: HOOVIE is at is again.... More on the LS Swap

Hey guys, Y’all see that Hoovie blew up his LS motor on the track? Talk about repeating history! Ugh, this guy is so failure prone that I think he really enjoys it. LS Engines are notorious for oil starvation under high G cornering, the only two ways around it are to install a baffled oil pan or ov...
