It appears that the spring/detent/whatever that blew out on my driver door handle is the one that makes sure the microswitch isn't open (or closed - not sure if it's NO/NC/momentary) unless you're pulling on the handle. I noticed my engine cranked really slowly when I drove back home from the office...

Today I pulled the inside driver door release…and something popped, and now there’s about half an inch of play in the handle…if I pull it out, the window drops to open-the-door position; if I push it in, the window goes back up.
