Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?

February in the Midwest: 57 and sunny last week - 7 degrees and snow today. Plus just this afternoon I saw a fleet of city snow plow trucks, each with a maxed-out load of salt, headed out to spread the rust-inducing stuff far and wide. SO: I cranked up the garage heater and started the Leatherique r...

Re: Silly Question-- Can you help ?

Before I replaced the bonnet struts, I kept a telescoping monopod from my photography gear in the frunk to use until I got the replacements. Carbon fiber, of course.

Wood sticks are so....Nebraska. :)

A fuel-ish question

This is a question for midwest memebers - specifically involving Hy-Vee stores. [NE, KS, MO, IA] Hy-Vee grocery also has gas stations. They offer both regular and premium in non-ethanol blends. I've been using the 91-octane no-ethanol premium in the 996. Most of the pundits think that top-tier fuels...

Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?

Happy Day to all you Groundhogs on the Outpost. :) This week there has been a window of nice weather [dry] in between snow storms. I took out the 996 for a drive and a top-off with my favorite ethanol-free premium. The snow is supposed to come about Thursday, so now I can work some Leatherique into ...

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

The whole property / casualty insurance industry is a modernized, codified, regulated version of the protection racket the mob and gangs before them started. As someone said earlier, they be in the bidness of collecting premiums. Paying claims is the bane of their corporate existence. But, they have...

Re: Another Poll- Coupe Or Cabriolet ?

I have a 911 coupe, but I used to have a Mercedes 560SL. Great top-down cruiser, but the soft top was totally manual. Getting caught out in the rain made for a very sudden stop and a literal chinese fire drill to get it in place. It was NOT easy. The car now resides in Denmark and the new owner is b...

That was yesterday? Good for them and the city, but I'm still not watching anything NFL. This goes back to the last player's strike...not recent events.
