Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

My Easter Sunday was spent changing out the upper control arms on my Cayenne. These are looking at you from their home in the wheel wells saying "I'm right here - come replace me!" They you realize the first step to change them is to remove the windshield wiper arms and you know you're in...

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

They lasted three years, or about 15K before they were slicks. I am not peeling out in this thing either. I think they handled well while they were operational, but the Michelin's warranty is for 20K, I believe. Which Kumho's ? Remember with Michelin's they cut the warranty in half with staggered s...

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

Just so everyone knows, Michelin is running a $110 rebate program if you spend over $800. I just bought four Pilot Sport 4 S at tirebuyer.com and they are offering 10% off too. I feel like I got a pretty good deal on tires and I never do. Also, I may have mentioned my Kumho's last time I bought the...

Amen to that. Whenever Billy's daily post rate drops below 20, something is seriously wrong. But seriously, I join you in wishing everyone -- especially Billy -- complete and speedy recoveries. It sucks being sick, and being healthy is the best gift those of us as husbands can give our spouse...

Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?

Did an oil change yesterday in prep to putting it away. I've been lucky that it hasn't snowed too much already. Haven't been driving it much, it REALLY needs new tires but I'm waiting for spring because otherwise it'll have flat spots on brand new tires. I do miss that third gear pull I got to do af...

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

Inquiring minds want to know! I've heard plenty of "bad taste" over Jake's personality, but I don't think I've ever read a complaint about his shop's actual work. I had $45k in an engine that made 50hp by the time it was all said and done. I had to swear to not post what happened or he re...

Re: Ignition Switch Replacement

OK, another update. What I've learnt today: 1. The same day delivery on the ignition switch from Amazon did indeed get delivered today. Thumbs up! 2. Once you stick your head in the footwell, you can indeed easily tell if you have the older part (4A0905849B) or the newer part (4B0905849), which has...

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

In other news I saw that the wallpaper "perfectionist" guy came back to Rennlist under an alias to ask for advice setting up a GoFundMe and/or selling his now roller. MY GOD DID THAT GUY DESTROY THAT CAR!? I had not seen a "before" picture and it honestly made me a little bit sa...
