Nope, daily driver. The garage usually gets above freezing if people don't leave the doors open too long. Space heater is a good idea though.

Mostly safe: The oldest 996's - those built in and before 1999 and a few after - were equipped with a fairly robust dual-row bearing. This is what I have. Built in early 1998. Took her thru the car wash today. Temps reached +7F and it's not going to snow for a few days so it was time to remove that grime that gets on you just getting into the car everyday.
