Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

I'm kind of stunned it isn't on fire...but also impressed that there were no injuries rated more than "mild to moderate" among the 4 passengers. YouHaveArrivedAtYourDestination.jpg I think in the last Joe Rogan podcast, Elon spoke quite a bit about their airbags and the various sensors th...

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

Its now been almost 8 weeks since we moved to Lago Vista (Austin) and in a few words....We love it!! Don't really miss San Diego that much, especially with a gal of 93 at $2.75 vs 4.50 for 91 in SD. Its really peaceful and low stress here Still not completely unpacked, mainly because we are having ...

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

A few birthdays ago, my GF got me a stock car driving experience at Irwindale. No instructor in the car, he was watching from their tower and giving feedback through radio. He was spot on with everything I was doing wrong. Probably not an option for large tracks, but it was a great way to learn. I h...

Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?

I just called Valentine. (Amazing that a human picked up the phone instantly after Mike's voice plays)

I am an idiot. It says eSavvy cannot serve as the powersource...eSavvy is the feature in the app! The Savvy (physical unit) can power the V1G2 just fine.

Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?

I looked at the savvy and unfortunately it cannot work as the power supply for the G2. :( See note section at bottom: https://store.valentine1.com/Store/item.asp?i=20220 Well shucks, that means if I upgrade to a G2 I'll need to rewire one or both P-cars with a direct-wire kit. At least I should be ...

It's possible that it's actually the roof, and it doubles as a wing when in the retracted position. :geek:

Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?

I power my V1 Gen 1 via Valentine's Savvy attachment, which takes its power from the OBD2 port. I run a cable from the Savvy along the A-pillar and headliner as Gnat described. The Savvy has a power port for the detector as well as one for Valentine's Bluetooth dongle (not needed for Gen 2). The Sa...
