Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com
Looks to me like Ford poached Bronco designers from Toyota's FJ Cruiser and Kia's Soul teams. It takes a lot to make a car look nearly as ugly as the Tesla Cybertruck, but Ford was clearly up for the challenge. My son that works at VW hq thinks the new Bronco is awesome. He loves the design. does-n...

Re: FRUNKenstein’s ‘75 914 2.0
In case you aren't aware, super easy to adjust ride height. A simple few bolts to turn. I run stock tire sizes on both 914s, but mainly to keep them as original as possible. I did not know that. Thanks. Here’s what I plan to do. After looking at the available options, I am going to keep the ATS whe...

Re: Search For a 914
Shifting challenge sounds 100% normal for a 914. Early cars (70-72) we much worse. Dont worry about where the headlight is aimed. They are about as bright as a glow-in-the- dark watch face. I put some super bright fog lights on my 74. Good to know. I like it. Has it some some suspension work? It lo...

Re: FRUNKenstein’s ‘75 914 2.0
I was able to strip off the goofy carbon fiber sunshade across the top of the windshield, then removed the paper miniblinds from the A-pillars today. Re: Search For a 914
A couple of beauty pics from today. I got the rocker panel covers on (I have a set of fancy Porsche embossed ones on order). Took off the stupid fake carbon fiber windshield tint and the paper mini-blind thingies from the A-pillars. I still haven't detailed it, but at least took a couple of pics at ...

Re: FRUNKenstein’s ‘75 914 2.0
Thanks Mike! This is the 6th car in my hooptie fleet. Other than the 996TT, all of them are worth less than $20,000 per. So, I won’t worry about putting on miles or getting rock chips. That being said, I want them all to be solid, well-maintained, good looking cars that would look at home in the mus...

FRUNKenstein’s ‘75 914 2.0
Bought the car yesterday from a local collector, Bernhard Arnold. He had owned it for 4 1/2 years. He bought it from a man in Lee’s Summit, who bought it in 2013 from a man named Bob in Terre Haute, IN. Bob bought it in 2009 from someone in Panama City, FL. In 2008, the engine was rebuilt and change...

Re: 914 Edition of Ebay, Craigslist and other online Finds
Apparently that yellow '73 2.0 was a good deal. It sold within hours.
