Re: Dammit, My Clutch Went Out!!

Aw crap, you're right - they are cheaper from Sonnen. But, I already ordered from Warehouse33auto.com. Ended up being $440 from Warehouse33 with free shipping (that was the best price I found, but didn't think to check Sonnen). With shipping Sonnen was a little over $400, so I could have saved $40....

Re: Dammit, My Clutch Went Out!!

I changed the motor mounts on my 924S a few weeks ago and should be the same ones as your 951. The cheapest I could find them was from Sonnen Porsche at $190.08 each. Installation wasn’t difficult, but not quick. Definitely easier than the AOS I just finished up on the 996. I used Clarks’s Gar...

Re: GD AOS!

Got the MF’er out. I plan to go Office Space on its ass once I get the new one installed. It arrives on Monday. While everything is apart, I am replacing the starter and alternator. I’m even starting to think about doing the coolant tank. I’ve learned my lesson about replacing things whe they are ea...

Re: GD AOS!

Great comments. The smoke started as I exited the freeway a half mile from the house. It was so bad that the Bond smokescreen was the first thought that popped into my head! The burnout out is even better. I’ll start a write up on the replacement. There are quite a few write ups out there, so ...

GD AOS!

My AOS went belly up today with no warning.

I tested it before tearing my car apart for the IMS job and it tested perfectly. Of course it would fail after it was all back together and no longer easy to access. :?

Thanks! I have enjoyed most of this project. All the information available on the web made this job fairly straight forward. I referred to a DIY thread on Rennlist (dammit) and picked up little nuggets that helped with struggles.

Re: DIY IMS Solution Install

I need to finish this thread up. I finished it last weekend, but doing this install 98% myself on the garage floor wore me out. I have been driving it every day since and nothing has exploded so far.
