Re: Identity requested

What is this car? Wife spotted it January 2016 and I just found the pic. Seems like I have her trained to notice P-cars!IMG_1067.JPG I'm loving what looks like Prussian Blue Metallic paint on that car. Definitely looks like an 86-87. Not Sure if it's an 88 or an 89 though. The 964 was being built b...

Re: My 2002 996 "renovation" thread

Bruh these Dodge dudes are all out of hand since they released the Hell Cat and the Demon. Don't get me wrong. I love the cars. I think they're kick-ass. But now, it's like everyone who owns a more basic version thinks they're Big Daddy Don Garlits at the strip or they're Dominic Toretto on the stre...

Re: My 2002 996 "renovation" thread

yuk yuk :) The sno-seal has an uncanny ability to soften up worn bolsters, and it lasts too. I'll treat mine again next month when it's hot. The dye is a helpful tip though, thanks for sharing. Is your car about done in terms of heavy lifting? It sure seems to be turning into a 'good one'. Coooool....

Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?

I washed my bitch and then took her for a nice drive, with copious amounts of intermittent full throttle application, because certain noises this car can produce causes me to chub   God I freak'n LOVE these cars

Re: **Advice Needed**

Keep it simple man... Swap the relay from the known working fan, to the fan that's not working on stage 1. If you swap it and the other fan starts function properly then your relay is shot, slap a new one in and keep rolling...... if not then it's time to start checking the low speed fan circuit for...

Re: VTEC Just Kicked In, Yo.

Well for what its worth it's not the first time a Japanese inline 4 cylinder found it's way into the rear end of a 911........I believe Eric Plebani was the first one to pull the swap back in late 99' or early 2000. He swapped a 4G63-Turbo from a first generation Eclipse GST into an old 911 with a 9...

Re: VTEC Just Kicked In, Yo.

With a basic turbo kit and a Garrett GT30R that thing would haul balls.... But even still I just don't think I could do it- I don't even go for the Porsche 914 Renegade Customs LS engine swap kits. I'd do a Subaru EJ257 Sti engine swap before I would do anything else.... at least the engine is still...

Re: What did you do to/with your 996 today?

Oof! That... sucks. Glass half-full: a cracked sump plate beats ripped-off bodywork any day of the week. Hope she goes back together without any fuss. Doc brings the wisdom on this one. Be thankful you didn't nose dive and rip your front bumper off. That would have been crazy expensive to repair. T...

Re: DIY Door Latch Replacement

I literally just did this on my 996, except I didn't undo the two 10mm nuts on the back of the outside door release handle. Great job. I have photos for a write up I plan to do on the window regulator replacement as well I just haven't gotten a chance to sit down and post it up. Well done sir!
