Re: Camera thread

Here is that shot again, but cropped through the HB app rather than on my phone: 90851235-734B-4AAA-B70C-5226F5A9DB20.jpeg Another she got of the dog (also cropped): 70BF5416-1E2D-4275-B695-7EDF1E91B66B.jpeg My first picture with it. The focus isn't where I wanted it, but it was through a glass door...

Camera thread

I ordered it back in December naively thinking the estimated availability which was in January. I also picked up their 80mm lens at the same time so she had something to open for Xmas (this was supposed to be a Xmas/anniversary gift). It looked like we were getting close in March, but then COVID hit...

Re: 2017 base...

That should still be a 958.2 I believe. There were some issues with the 958.1 V8s, but I think that was fixed for the .2s (thought the Turbo had the last remaining V8). By the way, I make no claim whatsoever to having any packaging skills. A shitload of tape and a shipping label.

Wonder if any USPS people have come to see what this site is after seeing the way you label the packages?

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

After manufacturing and pandemic delays, finally got the wife's new Hasselblad today that was supposed to be a xmas/anniversary/valentines gift. Forgot to get a memory card for it, cause of course you can't just slap in any old card  Oh well... I'm pretty good at waiting at this point... :lol...

Re: 1987 Bertone (aka Fiat) X1/9

I know it's a tiny car, but $7500 seems way cheap for a color change. For that price they have to be just taping over trim and hardware and probably not doing much to correct the underlying paint. I don't think it is outrageous for a color change, but given the purchase price of the car was $3,800,...

Re: 1987 Bertone (aka Fiat) X1/9

Regarding wrap, my understanding is the paint needs to be in good shape in order to do a wrap. Poor paint or clear coat won't work as I understand. Not to mention wraps seem to be equal or more than paint. This is true. People keep recommending I wrap the 996 so it doesn't look so terrible, but I h...

I guess calling it "Schnelly's Stable" would be too much of an inside joke for the local crowd

Re: 1987 Bertone (aka Fiat) X1/9

Look into a wrap. It's usually cheaper, can come out just as good, and is reversible when the wife recognizes the shell game and makes you divest
