I think it's an F4F Wildcat. That was my second guess, but the Wildcat's wings are mounted a little higher on the fuselage and are straight, though. The Hellcat's wings are mounted below the centerline of the propeller shaft and have a slight bend about 1/4 of the way out from the fuselage. Frankly...

let's see: prop, belly tank and attachments, maybe right wing tip and probably right landing gear. I'm guessing the Commanding Officer was not a happy fellow. What is that? I though it was an F4U Corsair, but it doesn't have the fold up wings. Looks like an F6F Hellcat to me. Maybe but the fuselage...
