I suppose what I would do in this scenario is gather quotes from their competition (which I'm presuming exists,) and come back with "you're not competitive and I have a business with a bottom line to run."

Is this the scenario where the Telco is also the ISP and that's why you need them? Otherwise why do you need them? You guys seem like the prime candidate for VoIP.
