Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com
Driving home yesterday, and there was absolute mayhem on the freeway. Turns out there was a medium-sized orange cone sitting partially in the right-hand lane, and people were swerving and braking like maniacs across three lanes of traffic like it was a box of puppies. It's one cone. And there's nobo...

I spent the first year or two looking for ways to disable PSM, and then I gave up and learned how to drive the car faster without tickling the PSM/ABS. When I go for weekend blasts, I now turn it off because it unsettles the car when PSM triggers over a patch of gravel or cornering on an uneven surf...

COVID around here is pretty lousy, but that didn’t stop me from printing this...now I’m printing 60% scale versions to hand out as ornaments. (Gnat, this was at medium quality in a cold room on a Gutenberg II - er, Replicator II - so cut me some slack)

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com
Been too busy to hang here lately, unfortunately. Quadrupling our users since April had the unintended consequence of chewing through two years' worth of storage in about six months, so my plan to roll out a new storage subsystem in the 2021-2022 time frame was accelerated to...last Friday. The good...

Re: 996Outpost monthly giveaways now sponsored by Kansas City Automotive Museum!
I received the package and I am very thankful for its contents. Love the shirt, it fits perfect. Love the sticker, it will bestow a place of honor on my 996 glass. Love the map from 1968!! I was 5 in 1968. Cool to see how the area has developed. There was no 110 FWY back then! The 911 book is aweso...

Re: Ok one more computer question...
I would get a one-year-newer device over a slightly older, slightly faster model. Since Apple's support lifecycle is based on the manufacturing date (i.e. "Early 2020"), I pick the newer of the two when deciding between two otherwise-nearly-identical PCs. But this is all hair-splitting. An...

"Prawnography" cemented my faith in the rule. That could be. I have also had to stop using a specific Amazon seller in the past because they were unable to consistently ship me NEW drives instead of used drives. I'm not sure who gets one of those in the mail, shrugs, and thinks "that'...
