Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

Yea, we'll see if Clay Thom "makes all wrongs right" in time. My bet he won't be able to sell the new facility and has to file bankruptcy which means people will get NOTHING. There is a chance that original owners that cosigned their cars, will get the cars back from the buyers, but it's ...

Re: Xenon ballast replacement?

If the yellowed lens is the only thing wrong with the head lights, I would be willing to buy your old headlights. :)

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com

Reading/watching videos about the whole CNC motors scandal. What a darling father/son operation they have going. Those dirt bags have got some balls; scam the wrong person in SoCal, and you might end up in a trunk south of the border.

Re: Xenon ballast replacement?

Saved is relative. They have already been sanded and polished 3 times and the last time even though they were clear they still had a yellow tint. That cleaning didn't last more than a month or so. Time to fogging has gone down significantly with each cleaning. Since it lives outside and these damn ...

Re: Xenon ballast replacement?

Those headlights can be still saved. You will have to sand, compound, and then polish before they will appear new again. The factory UV film/coating is toast; you need to sand it completely off and polish the plastic. Polish is not abrasive enough to cut through that. I have used the 3m kit restorat...

Re: 2nd Amendment Gear

The Sig is waiting for me in TN. Parts for this thing have been stupid expensive... :? $380 for a butt stock. $220 for three 30rd mags. Still don't optics for it. Parts have always been this pricy, but availability is certainly worse. Got a stock notification at 1:06AM. Had it ordered in less than h...

Nightstand gun got some new bling. Surefire XC-2 https://photos.smugmug.com/Firearms/Glock-20SF/i-DSCZ6Vb/0/bf192f72/L/DSC03330-L.jpg How much weight did that add? Did it noticeably throw off the balance? Sorry I didn't see this sooner. Since the Glock 20SF has got some weight to it, I would say a ...

Just passing along for any other Tarett customers... Microsoft Password Monitor notified me that my Tarrett username and password was "exposed." I practice pretty good security hygiene, and don't do things like using the same password for everything, so my concern at this point was someone...

Re: Tesla battery issue - smoke, then flash fire

It seems like fire departments would send out memos about not hosing down burning Teslas with dihydrogen monoxide, a known accelerant. This scenario makes those gull-wing rear doors with no manual override seem a lot less cool, at least to me. Hotboxing with Elon Musk may not mean what it seems to ...
