While I have access to the transmission, I installed a new tranmission mount using the AGA tool.

I’m still waiting on a few things and then I will start putting things back together.

The new engine case bolts arrived today. My car already had the updated bolts, but I decided to replace them anyways. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture.

New dual mass flywheel installed. Tourque bolts to 19 ft lbs and then turn 120*. I used a Sharpie and marked 12:00 on the bolt and about 4:00 on the flywheel.

New pressure plate installed. I hope the clutch is centered. I guess I’ll find out soon.

Great DIY

I need to finish this thread up. I finished it last weekend, but doing this install 98% myself on the garage floor wore me out. I have been driving it every day since and nothing has exploded so far.

Thanks! I have enjoyed most of this project. All the information available on the web made this job fairly straight forward. I referred to a DIY thread on Rennlist (dammit) and picked up little nuggets that helped with struggles.

Very nice work Steve. Love the idea of marking noon on the bolts and 4 pm on the flywheel
