I scored a set of Strap-On™ wrenches off a young mechanic who upgraded to the flex-head set. They look like they've been used once. A buddy introduced me to the Offer Up app, that's where I found them. You guys should check it out if you're looking for tool deals, I'm seeing a lot.

$150 - I gave him $175 to bring them to my location.

Nice score! I would highly recommend a stubby set as well if you don't already have one.

KC (and others), currently looking at the Hazet triple square bit set. Will this set cover 95% of what I'll need on any P-car?

Yeah, I think so. Originally, I had a 6 piece set and ended up having to buy a bigger set. But that one looks pretty complete.

Triple square's are kind of a must for working on VAG products... Almost every seat base is held down with them.

And while I love quality tools and would love the Hazet's, my $20 set of triple squares from Amazon has held up fine....

The other tool you don't often need, but do need occasionally are external Torx sockets (aka eTorx, female torx)

If I can't find a good used set, I'll probably just pick up a set of VIM bits (they manufacture Matco's tripple square bits). I think it's worth mentioning that on Garage Journal and other mechanic center forums; the Hazets and Stalwhilles tend to be the 'right length' for German made cars. If you look at Snap On's bit sockets compared to a German tool, they're much longer, especially once you get into 1/2" drives.

Haven't used this tool yet, but first impressions are excellent. The cast pieces appear to be high quality; no burrs, casting marks, or any indications of poor quality or poor workmanship. The threads on the jack screw aren't cruddy, they have been properly deburred. The two guide pins are mechanically held in place with set screws. Most caliper tools only have one guide pin! This is an excellent tool for an excellent price!

I've found that if she wants to have sex with you this sort of tools aren't needed.

If it's consensual, do I still need the PB blaster?

A remote-drive ratchet is pretty useful for header bolts, 996 muffler brackets and other applications where there isn't enough room to swing the ratchet:
