As evidenced by my whining in other threads, I spent a couple of evenings last week working on the 996 wheels - so my Corvette had to spend two nights in the street. I live on a cul-de-sac; other than deliveries, there are MAYBE 30 cars a day that make it down to the end.

Sure as shit, I went out the morning after leaving the car at the curb...and...

Thankfully, my skills with the Torq DA polisher, cutting pads, and Chemical Guys polishes are getting better.

With a tiny bit of filler and a color-matched rattle can, should be as good as new.

The offender, it turns out, was a little old lady who was going home from her book club meeting at a neighbor's house; she didn't know she hit the car, but her daughter - with cancer - showed up on my doorstep to rat her mom out. Goddamn snitch. :D

Must be the wife's clean Mormon living. I've had that kinda crap happen a lot and never get so much as an anonymous "Ha ha!" note

Goodness... that left a nasty mark. But, be thankful her daughter was honest enough to confess. After 4-5 dings and several scratches on my Volvo (with no courtesy notes of confession), I give up on the modern human being when it comes to these kinds of accidents.

Like the old joke goes:

Note found on a guy's windshield "People saw me hit your car. They think I am writing this note to give you my contact information. They are wrong."

I would actually appreciate the humor of that over just nothing.
