Only in CA, incidentally, do drivers not stop when a plane lands on the freeway. We pass the sucker (unless he was flying poorly, in which case he'll get the one-finger ricer flyby instead).

Yeah, we were watching the evening news and saw that clip. The wife says "Look at that idiot behind the plane he's not even slowing down!"

Not only did he not slow down, if you watch he started in the right lane, moved left, sped up a bit to pass people, and then cut back over into the right lane.

That there has to be a Massachusetts transplant!

I was thinking maybe he was from Jersey ... Massachusetts driver wouldn’t give up the left lane to nobody, no way, no how.

I give that pilot some props, I'm impressed he pulled that off perfectly.

And if that guy behind the plane was a Jersey transplant, he would tailgated the plane for about a bit. Swung right, cut 3 people off, swung back to the left lane aggressively cutting the plane off and throwing the pilot a 1 finger salute. His passenger would be aiming a cup of 2 day old coffee out the sunroof!!!

That was impressive! Sat it down between all the idiot drivers and in the fast lane to boot!

There is a small civil field (Gillespie) only a couple of miles from that stretch of...interstate runway. Lots of shitty flight school barges doing touch-and-gos all day long...looks like one too many.

If this had been the 5 or 405 in LA, the pilot would have been shot by at least three drivers for obstructing traffic.
