Flew the new drone today and really liked it. It is much more stable and much faster. 2k camera also looks a bit better. I may upgrade again come black Friday to the Autel Evo.

Which make/models are you tinkering with, Kalashnikov (I was lazy and didn't google image...)?

I haven't found any reason to upgrade from my Mavic Air to anything better. I probably could have just stuck with the Phantom - but that was before I learned the Phantom loses power if you exceed 45 degrees during flight.

A certain gold IMS bearing could have found itself descending at a somewhat speedier rate (32 ft/s/s) had I used a longer tether when I was flying that thing around...

The amount of tech @ that price point is pretty freaking amazing.

After dicking with the GPS drones, you do start to wonder what the extra $10-100K buys you for the pro/law enforcement models. Sure, it's rhetorical - it buys you hardened radios, encrypted transmission, dust and water penetration ratings, etc. etc. etc. - but from the thumbsticks, the "prosumer" drones are mind-blowing machines.

Took the new drone out to record some video. I am not impressed with 2k camera. The quality appears to be of a 10 year old smart phone. I think I may return this one too and spend the $1,200 for the Autel Evo package.
