But, I also think that life's too short to drive a boring car.

Maybe the saddest part about that sad story is that a 2007 Corvette was his dream car.

Good argument to buy one of those window breaking hammers with the razor device to cut seat belts that you put in the glove box for use in the event of an accident.

I actually like H3 Alphas. The 2010 model can be had with front and rear locking diffs. Car is actually very capable and very comfortable. Finding one is a bitch though.

Also a good argument to READ THE GODDMAN OWNER'S MANUAL:

"From inside the vehicle, use the door release handle located on the floor next to each seat."

There is a manual door release next to each door.

It really pissed me off when I saw this the first time - if you CHOOSE to operate a device you are not qualified to operate and it kills you, that's on you - but if you cook your own dog in the process, f**k you twice.

For future reference - because dumb people - EXTERNAL window override tools have been distributed across the country to help the C7-owning population escape certain death when trapped inside their own vehicles. If you need one, just look around. They look a lot like cinder blocks.

They're never gonna get that smell out of the upholstery.

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.

Your cinder block is a good point. My point was if the old boy had one of those inside the car he and the dog could have gotten themselves out and the upholstery would still be fresh as a daisy.

"What's the story of that 'Vette with on 1100 miles on it?"

"The one with with all the air fresheners? You don't want that one."

Looking at the pre-sale listing for this week’s auction:

2005 Hummer H2, 98k miles, in pretty nice shape, 4x4, auction estimate of value $12,200. I never really cared for Hummers (the vehicle, that is), but we’re talking about something to sell come March. What say you?
