I finally got around to plasma cutting the bear out of 1/8" mild steel. I have a little more grinding and welding to do, but I'm reasonably happy with the outcome. The gashes between the 2nd and 3rd legs resulted from someone-who-isn't-me screwing up the pressure regulator setting on the compressor. Note to self: if the tool is working fine, don't dick with the settings.

Fun fact: if you try to plasma cut with no air coming through the regulator, you'll spot-weld the plasma cutter to the plate.

Most importantly, the Mrs. is delighted with the outcome. Which is nice.

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.
