Making sure you have all the various adapters is important too. It will be fun pulling up to plug in only to find the charger isn't using your plug...

3000 pounds?!?! My P!g with it's great lump of an oil burner under the hood is only 5500 pounds! :shock:


It will also do 700+ miles on a single tank with a 80mph average down the highway :mrgreen:

Sounds like a fun, if slow, trip. After Audi/VW bought back our dieselgate A3 I looked hard at the i3 and drove one for close to 100 miles. Really liked it, especially the interior. Try to find one with the eucalyptus wood - really makes it a higher end look. In the end the wife did not like the funky styling and was concerned about the range (was looking at the non-range-extender version). They drive very well - pretty quick and quiet, but the handling was good.

We ended up with the GTI which has worked out very well - wife loves it - but likely there will be an EV in our world sooner or later.
