Printing a vinyl banner for the site...any suggestions?

Post by 5chn3ll » Tue Feb 26, 2019 10:26 am

About to pull the trigger on a 2.5' x 12' banner for Festival of Speed and other places where I hope to sit sadly alone hoping for other people to show up who never will...

Any suggestions for where to print quick and cheap? About $100 on Vistaprint.com, which definitely ain't bad.

Thanks in advance!

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.

I used a company off ebay last summer when I did an "Ask a Lawyer" booth for a fair. I tried to use our local FastSigns store as I use them for several other sign projects, but their quote was more than 5 times higher than the ebay store. It does take about 10 days for turnaround on the ebay stores, though, so if your event is within 2 weeks, I'd go elsewhere.

BTW, in all seriousness, it helps to have an attractive young lady in your booth with you. Not saying you need a hot chick in a bikini. Just that having an approachable, appropriately dressed, attractive young woman will help your booth visits.

Yeah, booth babes have always been a fantastic resource. It's sexist and pathetic - but known true.

I picked up a 12x2 foot banner from Printrunner.com for $70. 2-day shipping. For an instant gratification shopper, it's a great time to be alive. :D

Plus, it helps the scary old guy in the booth look a lot less pathetic.

Should I take down the "NO FAT KIDS" sign? I think that might be off-putting to some parents with chunky progeny...but they always smell like salami.

Are you suggesting that a pudgy middle aged guy that many would bet lives in a basement wouldn't be a good booth magnet?

Another good idea is to swing by Arizona and grab one of those free Russian grills and make some dogs in the booth.

I already "borrowed" 3 grills, a Tiptronic, and his new security cameras - er, some security cameras.

This sweet, sweet banner - designed in Word, post-processed in Acrobat, clearly a top-notch production - will soon be mine.

I do not live in a basement!

I mean, the hypothetical guy does not live in a basement!
