You mean k1 carting or hard core carting?

Easy stuff - like Miramar indoor. Seems like AX registration has been sucky; I was thinking maybe an indoor karting league might help get people at least interested in SOME form of competitive/performance driving. Worst-case, it's a social event that might attract a different demographic than some of the other things (like the Last Tuesday socials, etc.); best-case, it might help channel some fresh meat into autocross registration...

It could just be that I'm hitting the wrong events, but the C&C and LTS crowds for events I've hit in the past tend to be a different group than the AX group.

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.

I would be down! I used to live in the apartments very close to the k1 speed in Irvine. Clean facility, lots of parking, and lots of good Asian food near by. They're open pretty late; best time to go and not be surrounded by a bunch a screaming 13 year olds. (Other than the ones who show up from here  )

We can do carting as a private event, but not as a PCA event. Funny thing... PCA's insurance allows us to drive like lunatics on the track, but won't permit carting. Too dangerous.

I can share that I was injured(not serious injuries) more while racing karts than while racing a sprint car. So I can understand the insurance deal. Besides a kart/shifter kart would run rings around most/all cars at a PCA event so there is that...

Yeah, I get that it can't be a club sponsored event, but having SOME association with the club might help with the pathetic autocross numbers...

There's no insurance or a waiver to sign at Cars and Coffee...

Heh. It would be fun to enter a shifter in X-class.

I've owned 6 Foresters among my 8 Subarus.Bought 'em all brand new. Flogged all of them all big time, and they always came through. Count me in as a fan.
