So, I just got new renters in my beach house. Turns out that the guy is the head brewmaster at one of our better-known breweries in San Diego. I wrote into the lease that in addition to the rent, he owes me two cases of craft beer per month. Got my first rent payment today.

Well, there goes driving the 996. At least until I'm convinced that the salt is off the roads. I try not to drive this thing in any bad weather, but I particularly try to avoid salt. Blech.

Meh. Looks like the traffic is more of a reason to not drive than the weather.

Well, that was a mess. Finally got home at midnight, 8 hours after I left. My town is on the other side of some decent sized hills. The state closed the westbound highway that my bus takes, but local roads weren't plowed so people got stuck trying to get up the hills, so then they started closing the local roads. My bus driver basically gave up five miles from my house so I had to walk the rest of the way in the snow. Woo HOO!
