I'll make a new thread so that I don't hog up this one and interfere with Gnat's pearl necklace discussion. 7 years and two major model revisions. Huge differences between 996 and 991.b3freak wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 6:57 amBeautiful ride there Cuda! I'm glad you got it all in one piece. Did you check the odometer to make sure the drivers didn't take it for a spin? I see you say it's lower, but after two days of driving, how would you compare the 991 driving characteristics to the 996? I know it's probably apples and oranges, but would be a great write up. When you think about, it's only 7 years between the two platforms.Cuda911 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 26, 2018 11:12 pm Thx! After two days of ownership, I can attest that this is the finest car I have ever driven. Loved my 996. This takes it to the next level!!!
Only problem... with the Sport Suspension it is very low. I need to buy a case of lip spoilers. Can't even get out of my driveway without scraping.
With it being the same color (hundreds of search hours to find this car), it feels like my 996 was given a youth injection.

Re: Good Week @ 996Outpost.com
Gnat is ultimately right - it's officially "Perl" and has always been officially Perl, but I was a little right. Throw me a bone, will ya!!! I'm not on the level of computer nerd like Gnat. If you need solutions on how to find bugs in code, solve networking issues, cure machines of virus, malware, or spam, then Gnat and Schnelly are the right peeps, not me. I don't have the brain energy for that kind of stuff. When I was in grad school, I did have to expand my techie skills a bit, but never ventured over into the programming/networking side of things. It's fascinating stuff, but way above my pay grade.32wildbilly wrote: ↑Thu Dec 27, 2018 5:07 pm RE: perl...
I realize that I have not succeeded in answering all of your questions…Indeed, I have not answered any of them completely.
The answers I have found only serve to raise a whole new set of questions, which only lead to more problems, some of which we weren’t even aware were problems.
To sum it all up…In some ways I feel we are as confused as ever, but I believe we are confused on a higher level and about more important things…
