Heh. Wife got on the Jersey BMW club mailing list due to showing interest in a non-track event. Last night she gets an email blast reminding people not to leave stuff behind at the track.

Apparently they had an event at Summit Point and some Jersey POS doing what a Jersey POS does hauled their used tires and dead battery off into the woods to dump them...

Stay classy Jersey!

Yeah, I agree. They should have tossed that stuff into a storm drain like everyone else.

It's wetlands, and without them we'd have a lot more wise guy bodies to contend with.

I thought they used the Hudson river and concrete shoes. My knowledge is expanding daily....

No, the Hudson-and-shoes thing is mostly NY, although the East River and the Gowanus Canal are very popular also. The Gowanus has the unique advantage of being so incredibly polluted that nobody would ever look in it. Entirely new life forms are rumored to exist there, and scientists are scared that it might actually be true. Imagine your worst reptilian nightmare — sort of an Alien/Predator/Roseanne Barr kind of deal.

In Jersey I think they mostly use the (*ahem*) wetlands, unless of course Giants Stadium is undergoing renovation. Then they dig up whoever was put in the home end zone during the previous renovation, relocate him to the (*ahem*) wetlands, and plant the new guy. Given the relative lack of offense generated by the Giants and Jets lately, I’m pretty sure the dearly departed find the (*ahem*) wetlands much less peaceful than the stadium.

OK, I don’t really know if most of the stuff about Giants Stadium is true. But the part about about the Gowanus Canal? Hey, you can look it up. If giant mutant lizards eat Brooklyn, I won’t be the least bit surprised.

Yeah, Hoffa’s supposed to be in the end zone at the stadium, but then they tore it down and didn’t find him. There’s a lot of people who are sure they know where he is, and yet he hasn’t been found.

My only mafia connection is that before we moved away we used to live around the corner froma where the last Sopranos was filmed. Buses full of German tourists would show up every Saturday to eat onion rings and take pictures.
