OK, basically a public service announcement here: Rennlister and 996outposter nelsontod is selling his high-mileage, tippy 996TT to the first $25,000 taker. There is a ton of info on the car here and on Rennlist (dammit) because nelsontod has been posting a lot about it since he bought it a few months ago. Here's his post today on Rennlist (dammit) where he says he'll take $25k for it:

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=16&p=7942#p7942

Arctic silver over metropol blue interior, which is a nice combination. He's got a 997TT arriving now and needs to get rid of the 996TT. He paid more than that for the car and has spent a lot of time and $$ on TLC since he bought it. I think it would be a nice buy at $28,000. $25,000 is a steal. I'd buy it myself to play with and flip it, but I'm in the middle of refinancing my office building, so no go for me. If any of you guys is thinking about getting into a 996TT, this is a cheap way to do it.

Looks like Rennlist did the right thing - after being called out for not doing the right thing. Good for them(?).

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.

I wish they would have rubbed a little of that forgiveness on my account. I didn't even have the chance to plead my case. I don't think anyone cared.

I think I'll go eat some worms.

Worms are good. Olive oil, a little salt and a quick sauté...a bit gritty but, yum!

Garlic. Don’t leave out the garlic. Or maybe a little minced shallot, if you’re feeling cheffy.
