I was surprised he wrote me a ticket. I explained that it was off the road since last October because it needed some work and I just got it done this week and I just forgot and.... Well, I've spent $141.50 more entertainingly in my life.

I really dislike that empty feeling after paying a ticket and that is a stout fine. Similar to you my 300ZX has been neglected and mostly sitting in the driveway a since I bought the 911 in 2014. Not on purpose just, well...because. Went out to put the new insurance cards in it this spring and noticed the plate expired over a year ago. Didn't drive it. Didn't get a ticket. Lucky. Should have known there was an issue when I could find the 2017 registration around tax receipt collection activities, but just blew that off.

BTW, I noticed the other day when I had the 300ZX sitting in the garage next to the 911 that the Z is significantly lower than the 911! What's up with that? I'm talking 3 or 4 inches lower to roof. Yes I checked the Z for flat tires.

What really grinds my gears is that the fine is $25. The rest is random ass add ons. There's a $45 surcharge. Surcharge?

So your State, County or City has learned that trick, as well! They must have been reviewing their phone billings.

Used to be that some of the towns around here would routinely negotiate moving violations down to local infractions. Thus a) saving the motorist points on his license and b) allowing the town to keep all the money, instead of passing on the surcharge money to the state.

I love it when local government figures out how to screw state government. It didn’t last, of course — state AG threatened legal action. I guess that’s what happens when you’ve got a whole state agency full of lawyers looking for something to do.

Still, if you end up in a local traffic court, it never hurts to ask if you can plead to a local infraction.

And in sports news, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo was spotted on a date with a porn star. He has steadfastly denied that this is in preparation for a post-football political career.

It seems my 911 is nudging me towards mainstream rhetoric to refer to it as a .. "porsch".. If fate has it's way.. I might just refer to it as my "Por" car..
