So yesterday, I had the privilege of paying over $50 bucks each for 4 tickets to an independent, minor league baseball game for this Sunday.
Seems fair.

...and the liaison is currently unemployed.

Yeah, sure.

It was funny when we were looking at the car. The Porsche liaison that shows the PCA groups around took us down into the parking garage to show it to us. It was in a stall behind an overhead door About 30 seconds after the liaison opened the door, another guy comes flying around the corner to kick us out. Not sure what was going on - the car isn't exactly a secret prototype test mule. So, I was lucky to get those 2 pics. But then, the very next morning, they drove it out of the parking garage onto public streets.

Looong ago we were down visiting Mom in Florida and I took the two boys to a minor league game in the Port Charlotte/Punta Gorda area. It was less than four or five bucks each to get in. We had a great time and after the game the players came over to sign stuff. The kids had those little tiny bats you can buy and got some signatures especially one from a skinny little guy that they liked the way he played. Years later I kept hearing about this Cubs player that was doing really well at the plate and his name sounded familiar. So I went and found one of those long forgotten bats and sure enough right on there was "Sammy Sosa"! Old "Corky" himself.

$50 bucks is too damn much! HELL! $50 bucks is too much for a big league game.

Cool story.
The Monarchs are an unaffiliated minor league team, so they don't feed into a major league club. It's not bad baseball, just not something I care to spend $50 on. But, we got the "Club Level" seats, so at least it will be air conditioned.

If only that was true. The signature faded away just like his career.
