In other news went and picked up the Midget 1500 project. The GF has laid claim to it already and wants to learn how to work on it....either this will go well or I will be single in a short period of time.....

Love these old British cars. Started my path of car insanity with a 1965 MGB and still love all of them. Still on the bucket list is an Austin Healey Bug Eyed Sprite. I must be almost as insane as you deck man but not quite. Our 29th anniversary this Sunday and would be our last if I tried to do a project like this with my wife. You're a brave man indeed.

Congrats on the anniversary! I agree a project like this for many happily married folks would be danger zone territory! The other half the other day was describing to her best friend how unusual us car guys are, she stopped by the garage and we were all hanging out chatting cars, she left and came back three hours later and we had not moved lol.

It is wild for how many the MG's were the start of car insanity on a budget, I started with VW's but learned much of my wrenching on MG's, Jags and Rovers at my buddies due to him wanting to always wanting to work on "real cars" not them snap together Farfenugen's

30th anniversary present? :D

When I was in college, my favorite professor had a hard on for MG's. When he taught machine design, he would bring in various MG parts, like a chopped up rear axle when he taught the chapter on gears. I eventually whored myself out to him and became his TA for a few classes.

MG Roadsters are right up there with long-nose Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaags, baby. Very nice.

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Gone hunting with Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney. Back soon.

First experience with a MG, was taking one out for a spin while working for a buddy doing some resto work, got to the stop sign at the end of the street and did not factor in wearing work boots and got both the clutch and brake pedal in one shot

Mmmmmm....an E-type coupe has been calling my name for a while, waiting for a friend to part with his red one with the straight six

In other news got to the bottom of the knock sensor triggering in the 997 was the RSS mounts. Went back to stock and solved the issue. Got the first file from Kevin last night and damn the thing moves!
