Crap, does this mean I have to acquire a kid that looks almost just like yours? ;)

Congrats.

Understeer: You will hit the wall with the front end.
Oversteer: You will hit the wall with the rear end.
Horsepower: How hard you will hit the wall.
Torque: How far you will move the wall.

Mobil 1 0W40 per the sticker, but I've been finding chunks in the pan between changes. Is this normal? 😲

Absolutely not! You'd probably remove it's "front axle" and dress it incorrectly!

You should absolutely not be responsible for a child (we already fear for Pee Pee Eye as it is)!

Pretty normal for the intermediate shaft on this particular model. :D Did you get the smaller single row or the much improved larger balls on the model?
2002 Porsche 996 Carrera - bare bones basic, but still a blast to drive! Heck, I don't even have PSM on it. Ha!

Dr Strangelove,
All the best to you and yours! Don’t forget to buy the carbon fiber, full-face Porsche 919 special infant edition helmet! It’s on sale in Tequipment catalog for $17,919.96. That and the genuine Porsche car seat system will only set you back a Freshman year of college!

First carseat tip, DO NOT waste your money on the Porsche seat. It's just a re-branded upper lower end seat. Something like a 200 or 300% markup over the brand name version for having the Porsche name and a special buckle.

When he gets front facing and you want to start taking him for rides in the 911 you can order a "dummy" buckle that will plug into the airbag deactivation bar from a place in the UK (like $20 including shipping to the US if I remember correctly). Then you can use any seat you want and he can ride up front.
